The climate crisis is already upon us. While it is tempting to think “someone else” will step in to save the day, the truth is that our governments and wall street are failing miserably to protect our planet. If we want the earth to continue to support human civilization, it is up to us to create the change we wish to see in the world.

It’s widely agreed upon that we only have seven years to stop using fossil fuels in order to avoid the worst outcomes of climate change. If we are to succeed in meeting this deadline, it’s going to take a critical mass of our society demanding change.

That’s why we created seven million solar panels in the summer of 2020. We realized that, as much as we want to do our part, we can’t do it alone. We needed a rallying cry that people can get behind in order to transform the journey to 100% renewable energy into a vibrant social movement.

We have to start somewhere. Today it may be seven million, but given time, effort, and a little bit of luck, we believe that we can get to the seven billion panels needed for a sustainable future for our country.
